What Recession?
Find Out What A
Downsized Former Airline
Mechanic Has To Say
About Our Current
Economic Woes |
By James Martell
A former student, who has
been enjoying steady growth
since 2004 wrote the other
day just to say thanks. In
his email he said he had
enjoyed his best month ever
with Google AdSense. To back
it up he attached a screen
shot of his latest report.
(see below -- printed with
permission)
The irony of this was not
lost on me because whenever
I glance at a newspaper or
watch a bit of news on CNN
these days all I hear is
doom and gloom about the
economy.
Yet, here is a guy saying
thanks -- I've just had my
best month.

In my first issue (see
archives), I
raved about how much fun Arlene
and I had at the Rio in Las
Vegas during Affiliate Summit's
first event of the new year.
My
friends at Digital River did it
right by renting the Rio's 10
lane bowling alley for a private
party. In was nice of them to
also invite several of my
students to attend.
As
you can see in the picture below
we all had a good time.

Ah
yes. The power of goals.
Many who work at home run the
risk of underachieving due to
not having someone else (a boss)
defining their work for them.
I
learned early on from two
business mentors that if you
don't have clearly defined
written goals or images that
represent things you'd like to
accomplish that you can easily
get lost.

In our first issue James
introduced you to our
family, Adam, Justin, Shelby
and Victoria. In this
article I'd like to
introduce you to our family
pets, Scamper and Lilly.
We found Scamper back in
November of 2000 in a local
newspaper ad. It was love at
first sight. He came
bouncing out from under a
table to greet us.

Those who read the
first
installment of this article
may recall that I wanted a
chat forum installed on my kit
car site.
However, at the time of it's
publication I was awaiting
some important customization
html and graphics from one
of my web design guys,
Vaughan Davidson of
KillerCovers.com out of
New Zealand.
