If You Don't Tweet You Should |
By James Martell
Twitter is everywhere. While
you’ve no doubt heard of it,
you can’t fully appreciate
its capabilities until
you’ve given it a try.
Twitter keeps people
connected to family,
friends, and a target
audience using a real-time
micro-blog. By signing up
for a free Twitter account,
you can keep your clients
up-to-date on progress and
events within your business.

Update on
Arlene: Blogging on Other Sites |
By Arlene Martell
Between the kids and work, I
don’t have much time to
dedicate to my website. I’m
a busy mom of four and I’m
in charge of customer care
for the SUPER BootCamp, so
the time I do invest in my
site has to be effective.
Fortunately,
my writers take care of new
content for the website and
the discussions among moms
carries the forum. On my
end, I record and add
podcasts, send a bi-monthly
newsletter, add merchants,
and create additional
content. Each of these tasks
is equally important, since
they all contribute to my
growing site.

Tips &
Techniques: Attracting Subscribers |
By James Martell
More and more businesses are
using incentives to collect
e-mail addresses from
website visitors. They may
offer a free newsletter,
product discount, or other
perk to catch and keep your
attention.
In my last newsletter, I
talked about my interview
with Ryan Allis, CEO of
iContact. Ryan shared some
shocking news which is that
70% of website visitors will
never return to your site –
unless they become
subscribers.

Small Business Owners Embrace
the Internet |
By James Martell
Thanks to the slowing
economy, more and more
business owners are being
forced to tighten their
belts. Sadly, this usually
means letting go of valuable
employees and introducing
hefty budget cuts.
One area being hit
especially hard by the
downturn is
advertising, a major expense
for most businesses.

Using Images to Increase Traffic |
By James Martell
Last weekend, Arlene and I
headed out for our second
car show of the year.
Yes, Spring has finally
arrived.
I bought a new 10 megapixel
camera a few weeks ago and
thought this would be a
great time to get some use
out of it. Best of all, it’s
small enough to fit in my
pocket and it takes great
photos.
