RoboForm - A Terrific Tool for Helping to Keep You
More Productive By James Martell It is astonishing to me how easy it is to let the hours slide by when on the computer. Computers were promised as being able to make us more productive, but they're also such easy tools to fritter away our time. I bet you know exactly what I'm talking about. I could be working on a project at one moment, and then the next thing I know a half hour or even an hour has gone by and I've been surfing the Net or checking my e-mails. Then I'd have to come back to the project, take time to get refocused and then I'm off again for 15 or 20 minutes before slipping back into the abyss of that sticky World Wide Web.
I had to learn to become more focused and productive. But the great thing about this, is that we can all learn to become more productive. Mostly what is required to learn the skill, is practice, patience and determination. For example, when I started out on this computer I found the keyboard cumbersome and clunky, maybe because of my carpenter's hands. At one point I was interviewing my daughter about doing some work for me online when I asked her how fast she could type. "Way faster than you dad", is what she told me with a big smile. I hired her on the spot. But I also decided to learn the top 10 keyboard shortcuts to increase my productivity. I'd encourage you to think about how you might increase your productivity whether it is setting a timer, learning keyboard shortcuts or only checking your e-mail twice a day.
