The Tickets Are Booked For A Little Fun in Southern
California! By Arlene Martell It has been a wonderful but busy summer in the Martell household. James and I had our 25th anniversary party and enjoyed getting the kids off to their own to camps, trips, events and beaches. With the end of summer comes our ramp up for fall and James and I are overdue for a break-ation!
Since we are already in California the event, it's a great excuse to sandwich these events with a little break-ation. This event is over two days, so we decided to leave an extra 4 days early, and visit one of our favorite places -Disneyland! Interestingly enough, we went there for our honeymoon, and will end up there again just after our 25th anniversary. Yes, we do love the mouse. :) We booked a great hotel room a block from Disneyland and have our 3-day flex passes to explore the happiest place on earth. We will be hitting all the rides like Splash Mountain, Pirates of the Caribbean, Big Thunder Mountain Railroad, California Screaming the Jungle Cruise and all our favorites. I am looking forward to doing a little shopping down Main Street USA and James is anticipating the taste of the buttermilk fried chicken!
One of the other nice perks is that it will be off season, so not as busy as we would encounter with the summer crowd, plus the weather will still be warm and sunny. I cannot wait to get there. Although we have been there many times, it is still one of our favorite places to go. It is truly magical. After three days with Mickey, we will head to the coast to stay at the beautiful Pelican Hill Resort in Newport Beach. The place looks stunning and what a way to end our trip staying at this fabulous resort on the ocean. We look forward to spending time with Brian Littleton and the other attendees as well. It will be a great event. After the conference ends on Sunday at noon, we decided to stay one extra night to relax and wind down before heading home. Stay tuned for an update of the trip in an upcoming issue. :) All the best, |
