Preparing for the Newest Arrival in the Martell
Family! By Arlene Martell There is nothing more exciting than the arrival of a new baby! I miss the days when our kids were babies so long ago, and now look forward to the next generation as our family grows and the days of cuddling a newborn again. Our daughter Shelby and Brian announced the exciting news to us several months ago and they are looking forward to becoming parents, due on Fathers Day in June. Both families are very excited and we cannot wait for the day to arrive! James and I are going to be grandparents! I am so excited! I am the biggest baby fanatic on the planet and being young grandparents will give us the energy we need to chase little ones again. Victoria is anxious to be an auntie and is hoping the baby will be born on her birthday June 16th. Up until now I have not done any shopping until Shelby progressed into the second trimester. But, in the next few weeks, Shelby will find out the gender and then let the shopping begin! I can't wait - this will be a very exciting year and it will be amazing to watch our child take on the new challenge of raising her own family. It seems the years have zoomed by since James and I first met over 30 years ago, and this new chapter in our lives will be filled with joy and a new outlook as we welcome our first grandchild.
